“I Speak to the Dog” is Simeon Lenoir’s new album title.
Having had English as his first language for around ten years during residencies in Australia, Ireland, England, and the United States, it is quite natural that Simeon Lenoir took up the pen in the language of Shakespeare to tell his life stories, in conversation with a dog. A little one, a female Yorkshire was happily waiting for him in the entrance hallway of his apartment as he came home late at night after a fiery concert. We surprised them all sitting in the dark so as not to disturb the sleeping household when a worried “What are you doing?” came to interrupt them. “I speak to the dog” was the only response and thus was the title of the second opus in English after “You” by Simeon Lenoir.
Everyone will imagine their conversation in their way and the ten tracks of the album will help to enlighten everyone, in English of course but also dog… on the eponymous title “I speak to the dog”.
